West Asia & East Asia

Best time to Go:
Weather conditions can vary greatly over such a wide area, though the peak season for Asia cruises generally runs from November to March, avoiding the worst of the rainy season during the summer months which can be stiflingly hot and humid.
In winter, the climate is generally tropical with temperatures around 30C and this is regarded as the cool, dry season with less rainfall.

West Asia: The experiences are so diverse in this area of the world. From Golden Temples and saffon robes of the Buddist Monks in Myanmar, to the world class cities of Singapore and Kuala Lumpur with their shiny glass skyscrapers and buzzy modern vibes. If you like food, then warning of taste bud overload and mind boggling options.
India offers Grand Palaces and Bengal tigers(not in the same place), or maybe the elephants of Sri Lanka are more for you.

East Asia: Vietnam paddy fields, or the temples in the mountains of Taiwan or the shrines under the shadow of Japans Mount Fiji, all must be on the bucket list to visit. With dramatic limestone seascapes of Vietnam and the exotic spice islands of Indonesia, there is something for everyone to enjoy and experience. Japan is currently one of the most popular cruise destinations currently, and has so much diversity to offer.

West Asia (India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar & Sri Lanka)

East Asia (Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Philippines, Japan, China & South Korea)

Top Tips:
1. Do your research, there is so much to see and do, choose in advance what it is that you really want to see.
2. Mind your manners especially in Japan which is big on etiquette. Drinking and eating whilst walking is frowned upon.
3. Tipping is not required.
4. Squatting: Be prepared to Squat, not everywhere has western style loo's, and always have loo paper handy as not always provided.
5. Beware of pick pockets, especially in crowded market areas, leave your expensive watches and jewellery on the ship.
6. Street food, although delicious, not all hygiene standards are the same around the world, you might need a strong stomach. On the other hand there will be some interesting tasting opportunities if you are adventurous enough.
